๐๐จ๐ก๐๐ง๐ง๐๐ฌ๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐ , South Africa โ Tributes, memories and love for Eyewitness Newsโ politics associate editor, Tshidi Madia, have continued to flow in following her passing.
Madiaโs friends, colleagues and politicians have offered their condolences, while others have shared their memories and praised her as a bold and courageous political journalist.
The 42-year-old passed away in hospital on Wednesday following a short illness, according to an announcement by the news outlet.
As a journalist and political commentator, Madia was a prominent figure on all Primedia Broadcasting radio stations and digital platforms, including the podcast, Politricking with Tshidi Madia.
She hosted various shows, frequently filling in on the Midday Report and the Clement Manyathela Show on 702 radio station, connecting with listeners from all walks of life.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), expressed its deepest condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of acclaimed broadcaster and journalist. Meanwhile, Eddie Mfulwane of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC) shared his partyโs message of condolence on social media.
While sharing his experience, photojournalist, Jaques Nelles revealed how she helped him choose dresses for his kids and the moments they shared in Guinea, noting that โShe was fair, genuine and full of heart.โ
Madia also interviewed influential political personalities, such as former president Jacob Zuma, EFF leader Julius Malema and Democratic Alliance federal leader Helen Zille, on the podcast.
