More snow around Memel, Free State today, 11 August 2026! ❄️

While some are excited to see our winter wonderland, others are trying their best to stay warm in the bitter cold and for some farmers, there’s the added worry of keeping animals protected from these harsh conditions.

These photos and videos were taken on the Mont Pelaan S471 road just outside Memel. Credit to Daleen Willemse for sharing them with us.

Our thoughts are with everyone out in the cold, especially farmers and those caring for animals. Stay warm and stay safe! ❤️❄️

Light rain and snow falling on the farm at Lincolnshire, just 28 km outside Memel. Winter is definitely making its presence felt! 🥶 Light snow also reported at Moorfield Farm
