Thabiso Maphike was laid to rest last Saturday 16 November 2024,after he was shot and killed in hail of bullets by an unknown foreign national gun man,who was allegedly pretending to buy at Maphike 's shop using fake bank cards. Maphike was known in his township of Bophelong for fighting for township economy by clossing all foreign spaza shops since 2023 October and assisted his community to establish spaza shops in the Bophelong townships and he was now happy that other townships in the vaal were also joining the initiative.
