People often ask me how I came up with the name HairCraft & CŌ.
For me, the answer was simple. What I do every single day isn't just a job—it's an exquisite craft. I create, I design, I transform, and I pour my heart into every client who trusts me with their hair.
And the "CŌ"? That's the space I'm holding for the big, bold dreams already brewing in my mind. It's a reminder that HairCraft is always growing, evolving, and becoming something even greater.
I'm not shaped like a square, so my dreams can't—and won't—be boxed.
For those who haven't met me yet, I'm Marelize.
I've been passionately in love with this industry for 17 years. After an incredible chapter in Johannesburg, I returned to Middelburg two years ago. Being nominated among the town's incredible hairstylists has been one of the biggest reminders that passion, dedication, and consistency never go unnoticed.

When the shears and brushes are packed away, my creativity doesn't stop.
I'm a part-time singer, I write music, and I love arts, crafts, and spending quality time with friends.
You'll also often find me investing in myself—busy with online courses, learning new techniques, exploring the latest trends, and continuously growing my skills.
Lately, I've also fallen in love with practicing makeup artistry, because I believe beauty is an art that extends far beyond hair.
And here's a little secret that most of my clients don't know...
Even after 17 years behind the chair, I still get nervous before every appointment, just like it's my very first one.
