Baboons are definitely one of my favourite animals to photograph at least when they’re not raiding camps! There’s always some kind of action happening when you come across them. I spotted these two at the Vurhami Bridge, with one sitting slightly lower, peacefully grooming the other.

It feels like leaving a piece of your soul behind. This is the kind of peace you don’t realize you needed.

Exactly a year ago today, I embarked on one of the most fulfilling journeys of my life — a two-night camping adventure at Skukuza Rest Camp in Kruger National Park, joined by two amazing subscribers of my channel. The trip was completely free for them, thanks to a small giveaway competition I ran on YouTube. Veli Mulaudzi and his wife, Sesi Tintswalo, were the lucky winners.

This was a unique experience for me. I usually travel to Kruger solo or with family, so I was both excited and nervous about spending two nights with people I had never met before. But what an incredible trip it turned out to be — easily one of the best I’ve ever had.

On this journey, I achieved a few personal milestones, and every moment felt special. One highlight that stands out above all was the sundowner at Mathekenyane Lookout. It was the most breathtaking sunset I’ve ever witnessed. I had specific shots planned in my mind, and I captured them exactly as envisioned — a dream come true for any content creator.

But what touched me the most wasn’t the views or the photos — it was seeing the pure joy on Veli and Tintswalo’s faces. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone that genuinely happy because of something I had done for them. It moved me to tears on our way back to camp. The laughs we shared, the stories, the camaraderie — it felt like we’d known each other for years.

I compiled a video from that trip, and many people who’ve watched it say it’s the best one on my channel. I’ll drop the link in the comments for those who haven’t seen it yet(https://youtu.be/xfrHwnsQepA). Of course, what happened off-camera was just as special — and for that, I truly want to thank Veli and Tintswalo for being such warm, incredible people. Their energy made the whole experience even more unforgettable.

Even though Veli is a seasoned Kruger visitor, he told me this trip felt completely different — a true testament to what this magical place offers when shared in a new way. I hope to do this again soon, especially for those who’ve never been to the park. And yes — I still want to keep it free of charge.

My goal is to run another trip like this before the end of the Dry Season this year. If you'd like to support this initiative voluntarily, you can send me stars on this post, give a Super Thanks on YouTube, or subscribe to this page — it’s now eligible for monthly subscriptions. There’s just one plan for now at R17.99/month — every bit of support counts. (https://www.facebook.com/xipandza/subscribe/)

Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to Veli Mulaudzi and Sesi Tintswalo for trusting me with this experience. Ni ba Mandla ni vuyelela. Inkomu.

I captured this unbelievable moment in Kruger National Park , a Southern African python slowly swallowing an impala. It was raw, intense, and completely wild. No interference, no disturbance — just nature in its purest form.

What makes it even more unforgettable? I’m genuinely terrified of snakes… and yet, here I was, frozen behind the lens, documenting the wildest thing I’ve ever seen — and captured — on camera.

Someone said it is not about animals in Kruger, I present to you a Gandaganda at Ngotso Causeway.

One of the unforgettable highlights from my recent trip to Kruger was witnessing a rare and fascinating moment — two Yellow-billed Hornbills mating!

The male approached the female with a locust in his beak, gently offering it to her. After she accepted and ate the gift, they mated shortly after. This courtship feeding is a special behavior I had never witnessed before — and to see it so clearly was truly a privilege. Nature always finds a way to surprise and teach us something new.

A few weeks ago, I shared a short clip of a juvenile African Harrier-Hawk (also known as a Gymnogene) raiding a Southern Masked Weaver's nest.

Here are some of the photos I captured during that incredible sighting.
