Soon after the Farmers Carry (Station 6), my hamstrings and calves decided they’d had enough. 😅

From that point on, I wasn’t just racing HYROX, I was negotiating with my legs. Every run station became a conversation with me and God.

“We don’t stop.” “We don’t quit.” “In Jesus name.”

andwe made it. 🏁🔥

Straight to the Recovery Zone because recovery wasn’t optional at that point, it was necessary.

Massive respect to every athlete who showed up and left it all out on the course.

Today we recover. Tomorrow we’ll start looking for the next challenge. 🏃🏾‍♂️🔥

I’m discovering quite a few things about myself lately.

I’m becoming who I truly think I’ve always been… but I’m uncovering it in real time.

One thing I’ve realized through this HYROX journey is that I actually enjoy challenge. Not just physically, but mentally. This whole experience has been far more of a mental battle that requires physical obedience.

I’m discovering that as a man, I come alive in obstacles.

Give me a target.
Give me something difficult.
Give me something that demands discipline, consistency, sacrifice, and resilience… and something in me wakes up.

Even if failure is possible.

Because I’m realising the life isn’t only in winning, it’s in facing the challenge itself.

The past few weeks have stretched me. The consistency. The discipline. Challenging my body to catch up to where my mind already decided we’re going. Conquering the battle within mentally before ever seeing the victory physically.

And honestly… it’s been exciting.

When I started this journey, I didn’t think I would discover this much about myself. But maybe that’s the point of challenge, it reveals you to you.

Learning to embrace failure before race day.
Learning to embrace discomfort before results.
Learning to keep moving even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

A few more days until HYROX.
But I think the greatest victory already started long before the finish line.

Few days to HYROX and apparently my hamstring also wanted attention. 😭💀

Pulled it while being a content creator and having the time of my life… so the last few days have been me stretching, recovering and pretending I’m not checking every movement like “hmmm… is that tightness or am I imagining things?” 😂

BUT… in the middle of all that I joined a HYROX strength & conditioning simulation class and honestly? It was madness in the best way possible. Suffering together builds character apparently. 🫠🔥

P.S : NO way I’m letting an injury steal race day from me now. 🏁

Few more days to go…
Who else suddenly feels every small pain when race day gets close? 😭👇

10 days to HYROX and the sled is still trying to humble me. 😭🔥

At this point I’m not trying to become fitter in 10 days… I’m trying to arrive at race day healthy, sharp, recovered and ready to suffer respectfully. 😂

So now it’s:
✅ More recovery
✅ More hydration
✅ Cleaner nutrition
✅ Smarter sessions
❌ No doing the most trying to gain “last minute fitness”

The work is done… now we taper and trust God. 🏁
