Some videos age gracefully. Others become a time capsule of hairstyles, fashion choices, editing trends... and a very specific sense of humour. 😅

For this week's , we dug deep into the archives and found one of our old favourites. Looking back, it's impossible not to smile at how much has changed over the years.
The gear is different. The techniques are different. We'd probably approach a few things differently today. But the joy of creating memorable content and telling stories that connect with people? That's exactly the same.

We've come a long way since this one was filmed, but it's fun to revisit the projects that helped shape our journey.

Go easy on us in the comments. It was a different time. 😉

A recent testimonial shoot we filmed for Google Cloud, and their client PepKor - with a slightly different setup behind the scenes.

Instead of waiting for review rounds after filming, the producer was able to join the shoot remotely via Google Meet and view the live camera feeds in real time.

That meant live feedback on:
• framing
• composition
• lighting
• set design
• interview flow

before we even hit record.

It’s a small workflow shift, but it makes a massive difference:
faster approvals, remote collaboration, and more confidence on shoot day.

If you need a production team that doesn't just press record but can collaborate seamlessly, let’s chat.

If your event screens could speak, what would they say about your brand?

At Echo 2026 (in France), we created visuals that could continuously draw people in, communicate their message quickly, and support conversations happening at their stand throughout the day.

So we created a looping visual piece for Christian Surfers, designed to do exactly that.

Subtle. On-brand. Always moving.

No noise. No distraction. Just a visual layer that supports the brand experience throughout the event.

And with an expected 7,000 guests turning into over 9,000 attendees, that screen became more than background content… it became a constant touchpoint for thousands of passing eyes.

Because at busy expos, a well-crafted screen isn’t just “playing something.” It’s helping tell your story while your team is already in conversation with someone else.

If you’re exhibiting at an expo soon, this is your sign to stop treating your screens like decoration - and start using them as part of your marketing. Let's chat through a similar style video for you.

A lot of people talk about the negatives of the digital age. Short attention spans. Endless scrolling. Content overload. And while those challenges are real, there’s another side to it that businesses sometimes overlook:

For companies willing to use video intentionally, the digital era has created opportunities that simply didn’t exist before. Years ago, a company event, campaign, or conference mostly lived and died in the room it happened in. If you weren’t there, you missed it.

Today, events can begin building momentum long before the doors even open. Through teaser videos, reels, speaker interviews, countdown content, and social campaigns, businesses are now able to generate awareness and anticipation weeks ahead of an event.

And once the event begins, the reach is no longer limited to the people physically in the venue. Through live streaming and digital broadcasts, audiences can now experience launches, conferences, webinars, and live events from anywhere in the world.

The digital era has also changed what’s possible for conferences and corporate events themselves.

Speakers no longer always need to be physically present to participate. Industry leaders from different countries can now join conferences remotely and still speak live to audiences on large venue screens. Even when travel complications or scheduling conflicts happen, events are still able to continue with valuable voices and global participation included.

And the value doesn’t stop once the event ends. A single production can become:
• livestream content
• social media content
• internal communications
• recruitment content
• future marketing material
• sponsor visibility
• sales support content
• long-term brand storytelling assets

One moment can now work across multiple platforms, departments, and audiences. That’s one of the biggest advantages of the digital era: companies are no longer limited by physical reach.

And in a world where attention is increasingly visual, strong video content helps brands stay memorable in crowded digital spaces. The digital age certainly has its challenges. But for businesses using content strategically, it has also created one of the most powerful communication opportunities we’ve ever seen.

At its best, video isn’t just content. It becomes a long-term business asset. 🎥

This was all shot in one room.

4 different stories.
4 different looks.
Same space.

By intentionally designing each angle, background, and lighting setup, we turned one space into multiple “locations.”

That means:
* More content
* Less time
* Lower cost

Because good production isn’t about having more…
it’s about using what you have properly.

We recently had the opportunity to film and edit the Engen Xtreme (Engen SA) Customer Evening 2026, capturing everything from the speakers, the live music, the reactions, conversations and atmosphere.
We also focused on showcasing the strong brand presence throughout the event.

That’s the power of a strong highlights video:
It lets the event keep working for the brand long after it’s over. Beyond simply documenting the event, content like this can be used across social media, internal communications, future event marketing, and sponsor visibility - turning one evening into long-term content value. 🎥

Most corporate teams default to filming everything. But that’s not always the right solution.
We’ve found a simple way to decide when animation is the better tool:

If the message is complex → animation helps simplify it.
If budgets are limited → animation removes production constraints.
If locations or environments aren’t accessible → animation makes it possible.

The goal isn’t to replace video.
It’s to choose the format that communicates the message most clearly.

In internal comms, training content, and large-scale event communication, animation often does something traditional video struggles with - it removes distractions and focuses attention entirely on the message.

That’s where it becomes more than a creative choice. It becomes a communication strategy.

This is what goes into a “simple” interview shoot.

Our niche is telling brand stories.
Every interview we shoot, is crafted for:
- Intentional mood lighting
- Natural, engaging edits
- Clear audio

From camera placement to lighting ratios - everything is prepped & planned.
Because when the setup is right, the story comes through effortlessly.

Send this to someone planning interviews for their brand.

We’ve seen what goes wrong behind the scenes of live streams…
and it’s usually the things no one planned for.

Don’t leave it to chance.
The difference is in the planning - let’s build it properly.

From live webinars to emotional storytelling, here’s a look at what we created last month at Light Years Media:

- University of KwaZulu-Natal & AbbVie – Full webinar production with cutdowns for social media recaps
- Christian Surfers – Edited and translated testimony videos for their website
- Edge Church – Filmed and edited emotional stories to highlight real-life impact and faith in action
- Tega Mining Company – On-location interviews and B-roll to capture real-life operations

Different formats. Different industries. Same goal: content that tells your story with impact and clarity.
