๐ฅedit: This post got me removed from a couple not-so-like-minded groups today. It's okay - I don't expect EVERYONE to agree, and I'm sticking to my vision. Love you all!!๐ฅ
I don't give a rats ass if you are on MAT, AA, NA, SMART, Cali-Sober etc. etc. etc...
The route to and through recovery is individual (with a need for community support) and in my opinion, there is no place for guilt, shame, judgement or stigma, regardless of what is working for any one person.
I support any route to recovery that is truly healing for the person affected, which only they would know. Healing from addiction is a very internal process that is reflected outward.
What I don't like, is when people from one group/method of recovery or another, insist that their way is THE way, and incorporate rules and judgement if you aren't following a specific 'doctrine' properly. That doesn't fly with me.
We are all DIFFERENT with a common ailment and our routes to recovery reflect that.
So let's recover together, with the melting pot of tools, techniques, supports and programs available to us share what works, and not criticize, blame, or hold our noses up towards others that are recovering differently...Because guess what? Not one single individual has all the answers.
Have an amazing day living YOUR life of recovery, however that may look.
