🩷A Sincere Message🩷
Dear Factory Plaza family and wider community,
I’m writing this message from a very honest and personal place. Over the past few months, I’ve been approached by so many people asking for sponsorships, donations, and support — and while I deeply appreciate the incredible work happening in our community, I feel it’s time to share my heart with you all.
Factory Plaza is a privately owned business. It’s me, doing my best each day to keep the doors open, to look after my staff, and to serve our customers with value, quality, and care — all during a time when the financial climate is difficult for everyone.
I’ve tried to give back in ways that are sustainable. We’ve kept our prices as low as possible, we offer discounts on purchases over a certain amount, and we’ve launched a school incentive project that I truly believe in.
But I need to be honest — as much as I want to support everyone, I simply can’t do it all. And so, I’m asking kindly and humbly: please consider supporting me before asking for support in return. It’s not that I don’t care — quite the opposite. I see who supports me, and when I can, I absolutely try to return the favour. That’s what community means to me — mutual respect, mutual effort, and mutual upliftment.
To our local schools: Please remember that you play a role in this too. Our school incentive program allows funds to be accumulated when anyone — parents, staff, family members, or friends — make purchases and mention your school’s name. But this only works if you remind your supporters. You have to let them know that their everyday shopping can directly benefit your school — without needing to ask for donations.
This is how we can truly support one another — by choosing to work together in ways that are sustainable for everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message. It isn’t easy to put this out there, but I know many of you will understand where I’m coming from. I’m so grateful for every single person who chooses to support Factory Plaza — it means more than you know.
With heartfelt thanks,
Dina Tseng
