South Africa’s planned Basic Income Support grant is moving closer, with government hoping to finalise the policy by March 2027.

The grant is expected to replace the current R370 Social Relief of Distress grant, which was first introduced during the COVID-19 pandemic as temporary support.

For now, more than 8 million beneficiaries will continue receiving the SRD grant until March 2027, while government works through Cabinet approval, public comment and legal changes.

Following Albania ♥️ .. No more Zio foundations

Burkina Faso has ordered the permanent removal of the Bill Gates Foundation project.

"Expelling the Bill Gates Foundation: How Burkina Faso Ended the Era of Using Africa as a Genetic Testing Ground?"

In a decisive sovereign move reflecting the shift in geopolitical awareness on the African continent, the government of Burkina Faso issued a final decision to permanently halt and remove the Bill Gates Foundation-funded malaria research project from its territory.

The canceled project relied on releasing genetically modified mosquitoes into the wild. The African rejection was based on scientific and environmental grounds; free nations refuse to allow their lands to become open laboratories for testing highly dangerous biotechnologies, technologies that the West prohibits in its own cities to protect its environmental security.

President Ibrahim Traoré's decision confirms to the international community that the era of implementing projects under the guise of "charitable work" without oversight or transparency is over.

BREAKING NEWS: Republic of Congo Opens Borders to All Africans! Visa-Free Entry from January 1, 2027 🇨🇬🔥
In a bold move that's sending waves of excitement across the continent, President Denis Sassou N'Guesso has announced that the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville) will abolish all visa requirements for every African citizen starting January 1, 2027.

This historic decision aims to boost free movement of people, trade, tourism, and deeper African integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). President Sassou N'Guesso urged African nations to move beyond "egoism and narrow nationalism" and embrace true unity.

Why This Matters:

Makes Congo one of the most open countries in Africa for intra-African travel.

Joins leaders like Rwanda, Kenya, Gambia, Seychelles, and others pushing for visa-free policies.

Huge potential for business, family visits, tourism, and cultural exchange across Africa.

A major step toward the dream of borderless Africa and full continental integration.

Africa is rising! This is the kind of leadership that puts people first and builds a powerful, united continent. 🇦🇫

‼️FREE STATE GOVERNMENT MOVES TO TAKE CONTROL OF NGWATHE MUNICIPALITY FOLLOWING CONSTITUTIONAL COURT RULING‼️

The Free State Executive Council (EXCO) has resolved to implement sweeping interventions in Ngwathe Local Municipality following a Constitutional Court ruling that effectively clears the way for provincial intervention in the troubled municipality.

The decision was announced after EXCO's monthly meeting on 10 June 2026, chaired by Free State Premier MaQueen Letsoha-Mathae. The meeting also considered matters relating to economic development, healthcare infrastructure and government communication.

EXCO noted the Constitutional Court's dismissal of an application for leave to appeal in the matter of Afriforum NPC versus Ngwathe Local Municipality and Others. The ruling upholds an earlier Free State High Court judgment delivered in June 2025.

In response, the provincial government has committed itself to implementing the court order without delay as part of its constitutional obligations under Section 139 of the Constitution.

Among the measures approved are the development and implementation of a comprehensive financial and service delivery recovery plan, the dissolution of the municipal council, the appointment of administrators, and the approval of temporary budgets and revenue-raising measures aimed at restoring municipal functionality.

"The Provincial Government remains committed to restoring good governance, improving basic service delivery and ensuring accountability to the residents of Ngwathe," EXCO said in a statement.

A multidisciplinary team comprising officials from various provincial departments will be established to oversee and coordinate the implementation process.
