Follow the removal of ANCYL Fezile Dabi spokesperson Mbulelo Mtshilibe,the acting secretary of ANCYL in Fezile Dabi , Tsietsi Mzangwa,responded to all questions in conversation with TThook up podcast and news journal.

Acting regional secretary of the ANCYL Fezile Dabi region,Mr Tsietsi Mzangwa emphasized that The ANCYL is not a one-man organization.Their fundamental objective as per our mission is the broader youth strata when we advance the interests of young people and not individual interests.

He added" We are not in the business of opposing ANC government agenda that seeks to advance and develop the youth. Where we differ with the motherbody, we will engage the ANC in a respectful manner not in a way that seeks to damage the reputation of the organization like we have seen other members doing."

"Furthermore, the YL has many capable members who will fill up the position of the Spokesperson and we will announce the name in due course. In the meantime the Secretariat shall handle media relations."Mr Mzwangwa concluded

FEZILE DABI ANCYL SPOKESPERSON SACKED!!!

African National Congress Youth League in Fezile Dabi decided to remove their spokesperson Mbulelo Mtshilibe.

The office of the acting regional secretary emphasized that they remain firm that young people must not only be beneficiary of change but also the drivers and custodians of transformations.
It was alleged that the Spokesperson was not contributing positively to the unity of the ANC YL in Fezile Dabi Region and accused of divisive tendencies.

FEZILE DABI ANC DEPUTY CHAIRPERSON AND MOQHAKA LOCAL MUNICIPALITY MAYOR SACKED!!!

The ANC Free State PEC has decided to redeploy the Mayor of Moqhaka Local Municipality and the deputy chairperson of the ANC in Fezile Dabi Cllr Motlogelwa Mokatsane.

Five other Mayors that could not survive the chop,they include the Mayor of Mafube,Letsemeng,Nketoana,Nala and Lejweleputswa district municipality.

The ANC Provincial Secretary Polediso Motsoeneng addressing the media,said after receiving reports on the state of local government in the Free they decided to effect these change.

Motsoeneng said among issues of concerns from the PEC includes poor maintenance of critical infrastructure, appointments of under qualified or unqualified personnel.

" If we don't act on all these we will experience even more calamitous situations that we experienced previously" said Motsoeneng.

The PEC has also noted the court judgment on Ngwathe Local Municipality and have handed the matter to SALGA, MEC Cogta and the Premier to advice on the way forward.

NGWATHE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY MAY HEAD TO THE SUPREME COURT OF APPEAL

Ngwathe Local Municipality might consider heading to the Supreme Court of appeal after suffering a blow from the Bloemfontein high court decision to dismiss its application for leave to appeal against the decision of dissolution of the Municipality.

According to the Municipality this matter might have been mishandled and a different outcome might be arrived at by the different Court.

Ngwathe local municipality application to appeal has been dismissed by Bloemfontein high court.

According to the municipal communication manager Mr Steve Naale ,The Executive Mayor Cllr Victoria De beer-Mthombeni notes the judgement regarding the application for leave to appeal.

"The municipality has received the judgement of the Bloemfontein high court and while the institution respect the court ,it will study this outcome and will make pronouncemnt in due course on the next course of action." Naale concluded

Three hundred and eighteen,313, sites that were allocated by the Executive Mayor of Ngwathe Local Municipality, Cllr Victoria De beer-Mthombeni, in extension 7 Tumahole remains Unoccupied.

When this publication visited extension seven today it discovers that the sites indeed remain Unoccupied and not even a single structure has been put up a month since these were allocated.

Executive Mayor Cllr Victoria De beer-Mthombeni said "We request residents who are rightful beneficiaries of sites, to occupy their sites so as to allow the municipality to continue with infrastructure developments and avoid illegal occupation of land"

50 TITLE DEEDS ISSUED TO HAPPY BENEFICIARIES

Tumahole:Ward 09 councillor Malebo Magashule distributed 50 Title Deeds at Orthodox Church in Tumahole township.
Cllr Malebo adviced residents to update their details by visit container next to Botjhabatsatsi Inter School,for new application they need to visit Ngwathe Municipal Offices in Tumahole

Ntsieng Motloung,86 years old, said "I am proud to be part of ward 09 because finally I have papers indicating that I own a land"

Ngwathe Local Municipality has been embarking on allocation of residential sites to beneficiaries who applied and the issuing of title deeds play a huge role in building stable, equitable communities.

"A title deed is legal proof of ownership, protecting residents from eviction or dispute while It empowers people to make decisions about their property."Cllr Malebo concluded

MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT VISITED VREDEFORT WATER TREATMENT PLANT

Ngwathe local municipality continue to prioritize service delivery in all towns, Parys, Vredefort, Koppies,Edenville and Heilbron as part of a parliamentary monitoring process aimed at evaluating municipal service delivery infrastructure and ensuring that communities have access to clean and safe water.

Today, 13 August 2025(Wednesday)Ngwathe Local Municipality Manager Dr. F.P. Mothamaha together with Hon. Karabo Khakhau, Democratic Alliance Member of Parliament, visited the Vredefort Water Treatment Plant.

According to Ngwathe local municipality communication manager Mr Steve Naale,The oversight inspection specifically focused on the plant’s operational performance, water purification processes, compliance with health and safety standards, and the efficiency of water distribution systems serving the community. Hon. Khakhau engaged with municipal officials, plant staff, and technical teams to gain first-hand insight into the state of the facility.

"However, areas requiring urgent attention were also highlighted — particularly the need to modernise and upgrade critical equipment (i.e pumps, pipes and the filtration system), enhance safety protocols (i.e the procurement of safety kits, the employment of safety protocol officers and the refurbishment of the facility fencing, gates, locks and access points) within the facility, and invest in more efficient machinery to improve water supply reliability."Naale concluded

Dr. FP Mothamaha (MM) emphasised that water is the foundation of community health and economic activity. We are committed to ensuring that every household in Ngwathe has access to high-quality water that meets national standards.

SABOTAGE ON WATER PURIFICATION PLANT

Ngwathe Local Municipality has reported some random activities of certain known individual who used to work at the plant through previous contractor, had unauthorized access to the Parys water purification plant recently, hence the technical team discovered fiddling with water pumps.

"These individuals have detrimental intentions hence the trespassing that resulted in spreading of misleading information regarding pumps at the water purification plant." Ngwathe local municipality communication manager Mr Steve Naale

He added "The pump was distributing to Parys and Mandela section which could be a separate scenario.There was a temporary water sharing remember distribution is generally not enough due to ongoing refurbishment project"

The Municipal Manager Dr F.P Mothamaha has already delegated Municipal Public Safety and Legal department to embark on necessary law enforcement engagement on the suspect who is regarded as an intruder.

High electricity usage alert.

All the areas in the Zone 6 and Old location feeders are using high electricity, and to avoid overload, they might switch off for a maximum of two and half (2.5) hours. We urge everyone to use electricity sparingly and switch off unused appliances.

Zone 6 Feeder: Zone 6, Sisulu, Lusaka, Matlo a maspala, vuka, Metampelong, and Skotiphola.

Old location feeder: old location, B-location, Ghana, Phelendaba & Small farm.

ELECTRICITY INTERRUPTION IN MOKWALLO

Ngwathe local municipality,Free State, inform residents in Mokwallo and Greater Vredefort that the municipality will interrupt electricity supply in order to install new transformers for new Extension 7 in Mokwallo.

Ngwathe local municipality communication manager Mr Steve Naale emphasized that, this is part of service delivery commitments, and it's an ongoing program after the municipality recently electrified new sites in extension 4, Mokwallo

WATER DISTRIBUTION CHALLENGES IN PARYS, TUMAHOLE AND SCHONKENVILLE

Ngwathe Municipality has reported challenges of water distribution in Parys,Tumahole and Schonkenville. The Municipality technical team has discovered a mechanical breakdown at a pump station feeding water to the mentioned areas.

According to municipal communication manager Mr Steve Naale this has caused delays in the water purification and distribution processes. Residents are requested to be patient, as the team is currently on site giving this challenge an urgent attention. Municipality sends a word of apology for the unplanned inconvenience

He added "As per our previous statements, the Parys water treatment plant is still under refurbishment and half of our purification process is out of operation due to maintenance and upgrade. As a result the water plant is producing less water per day."
