A family of a young girl who attended the just ended Umhlanga ceremony is trying to locate a young girl who has gone missing.

According to a family member, the girl reportedly boarded a truck with other maidens which departed Lobamba around 19:00 yesterday evening but since then she has not reached home.

"I am so stressed, I can't even eat. Please if anyone knows of her whereabouts, please call me at: 79345589/76827203. She is only 14 years," said a family member.

GRANT DAY MOVES TO THE 25TH: If youโ€™re used to checking your bank account on the 20th for your elderly grant, thereโ€™s a new date to remember.

The Deputy Prime Ministerโ€™s Office has announced that, from August 2026, elderly grants paid through commercial banks will now be disbursed on the 25th of every month, instead of the 20th.

The change comes as government introduces a new social grants disbursement system, aimed at making payments more efficient, secure and seamless.

MoMo recipients, take note: If you receive your grant through MoMo, nothing changes, the current arrangements remain in place.

If all you do is beat your child for every mistake they make, then youโ€™re part of the problem.

Many of us are simply repeating the generational trauma we experienced because thatโ€™s how we were raised. But the world is changing, and our parenting should grow too.

No one is saying we should raise spoiled children. We should raise children who can communicate their feelings, understand boundaries, and trust their parents enough to be honest when theyโ€™ve made a mistake.

You can be both gentle and firm. Gentle parenting doesnโ€™t mean a lack of discipline, and being strict doesnโ€™t have to mean being harsh. Every situation requires wisdom, patience, and the right approach.

Please donโ€™t bring home the frustration of dealing with the world and pour it out on your children.

A young boy recently drowned in a river because his bucket fell into the water. He was so terrified of the beating he expected from his mother that he tried to retrieve it himself instead of going home to tell the truth. Sadly, he lost his life.

No child should be so afraid of their parents that they choose danger over honesty.

Discipline your children, yes. But let your home be a place where they feel safe enough to tell you the truth, even when theyโ€™ve made a mistake.

MASKANDI STAR DIES IN CAR CRASH: The KwaZulu-Natal Road Traffic Inspectorate has confirmed the death of popular Maskandi artist Scebi Dlamini, popularly known as Inkosi Yamagcokama, following a car crash.

The collision occurred in the early hours of this morning at a traffic-light intersection directly opposite Melomed Richards Bay Private Hospital in South Africa.
