Five men accused of sabotaging a bridge project in uMsunduzi appeared in the Camperdown Magistrate’s Court for bail.

The matter was delayed last week due to a court power outage and remains on the Camperdown roll.

The bail application of Nikiwe Mngwengwe, 46, and alleged hitman Duncan Ntuli is ongoing.

The pair face charges of conspiracy to commit murder + premeditated murder after Fundisa Mngwengwe was found dead at her Mkhambathini home.

The State alleges the killing was part of a life insurance plot and told court that witnesses fear for their safety.

Matter postponed.
