A Mozambican national was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment by the Thabazimbi Regional Court in Limpopo on Tuesday following his arrest for attempting to poach a rhino in the Hoopdal area.

Peter Zacharia Chaya (27) has been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment following an attempt to hunt rhino in the Waterberg District in April 2024.
