Durban FilmMart SA 2025 what a journey!

For 5 days, we shared space with passionate storytellers, producers, curators, and creatives from across the globe all driven by one thing: telling our stories, our way.

From deep conversations on impact storytelling and AI in filmmaking, to tough questions about funding, access, and representation it was a space to learn, unlearn, and reconnect with the bigger picture of why we do what we do.

As Leejay Production House, it reminded us that we're not alone in this there’s a movement growing. A movement that says:
"We’re not waiting to be seen, we are the lens."

Grateful to have attended with the support of the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF).

Polokwane, – Leejay Production House stands in solidarity with the brave young people, activists, and community members who marched to the Department of Justice and Department of Basic Education in Polokwane today. Their demand? Justice for Cwecwe, a 7-year-old girl who was allegedly brutally r***d by her school teacher.

This march is a powerful call to action—a demand for accountability, safer schools, and swift justice for survivors of gender-based violence. We amplify the voices of those saying .

Key Demands from the March:
✔ Immediate arrest and prosecution of the perpetrator.
✔ Stronger child protection policies in schools.
✔ Psychosocial support for Cwecwe and her family.
✔ Government intervention to prevent future cases.

We call on authorities to act NOW. No child should fear going to school.
