BREAKING NEWS: ANC NORMAN MASHABANE SPOKESPERSON FAIL TO SECURE PR COUNCILLOR NOMINATION
ANC Norman Mashabane Regional spokesperson Peter Ngobeni has suffered a political setback after failing to secure a nomination for a Party Representative (PR) Councillor candidate position for both Greater Letaba Local Municipality and Mopani District Municipality.

Ngobeni’s name failed to make the cut during the Ward 12 Branch General Meeting held on Saturday. The ward, which he had hoped would nominate him as a councillor candidate, covers areas including Thakgalane, Goudplaas, and Itieleng.

The nominations from the Ward 12 Branch General Meeting were as follows:

1. Nathi Lethabo Mathole
2. Joyce Ramorwalo
3. Thato Mashego
4. Sinkie Raseasala

Ngobeni, who serves as a member of the Norman Mashabane Regional Executive Committee (REC) and Regional Working Committee (RWC), is also a member of the Limpopo Legislature, where he holds the position of Chair of Chairs.

Despite his political experience and senior positions within the ANC, members of the Ward 12 branch did not nominate him, a development that has reportedly surprised some senior party officials in the Norman Mashabane Region.

The regional leadership, including ANC Limpopo Provincial Secretary Sonia Ngobeni-Maswanganye and Chairperson Dagma Mamanyoha, had reportedly expected Ngobeni’s political credentials to secure him a nomination.

However, the Ward 12 branch members ultimately made their decision through the nomination process, leaving Ngobeni without the required support to advance as their preferred councillor candidate.

Ngobeni has previously been seen engaging with senior ANC leaders, but the outcome at branch level highlights the importance of grassroots support in the party’s candidate selection processes

BREAKING NEWS: MASTER KORTES OPENS INITIATION SCHOOL
Master Kortes, who proudly calls himself the King of Limpopo, has announced the opening of his initiation school, commonly known as Koma in Sepedi.

For generations, initiation schools have played an important role in many communities, serving as a place where boys are taught discipline, courage, responsibility, respect and the values expected of men before they start their own families.

Master Kortes has invited families across Limpopo to support the school by enrolling their children for initiation.

The announcement has sparked mixed reactions online.

Some community members have welcomed the initiative and expressed confidence in Master Kortes, citing his involvement as a traditional healer, musician, dancer and operator of a rehabilitation centre in his community.

Others, however, have raised questions about trust and accountability, saying that the safety and well-being of initiates must always come first.

Initiation schools carry a great responsibility. Parents place their trust in those who run them, expecting their children to return home safely and with valuable life lessons.

BREAKING NEWS: PROPHET BUSHIRI DONATES 10 BUSSES TO REPATRIATE MALAWIANS FROM SOUTH AFRICA
Malawian based Pastor and leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering - The Jesus Nation Church, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has pledged 10 busses to fetch Malwians who wish to leave South Africa.

This follows the deadline - set by civil groups and organizations such as E Chaile and March & March which are advocating for the deportation of illegal immigrants.

March & March has reportedly set a deadline of June 30th for all illegal immigrants to leave the country.

West African country, Ghana became the first nation to repatriate its citizens with 300 having already left a few weeks ago.

Nigeria has followed suit and has also already facilitated the repatriation of 260 of its citizens with 500 more set to return home in the coming days.

With the Malawian government having recently made repatriation arrangements, Bushiri has vowed to step in to assist with the donation of busses.

Major 1, as he is affectionately known, says what Malawians are going through in the country are exactly what he experienced during his stay in the rainbow nation.

The 46 - year old led a mega church in Pretoria for years before he was arrested on charges of money of laundering and fraud which ultimately led to his illegal departure in 2020.
