Dear Member LFAs & clubs.
Reference is made to the above subject matter :
1.Vhembe Region of the South African Football Association (SAFA Vhembe) has become aware of an invitation disseminated to football stakeholders for an imbizo scheduled for August 09, 2025.
This invitation has been circulated by individuals who do not represent our organization and are not officials of any of our registered clubs or our four (4) member Local Football Associations (LFAs).
We strongly advise all clubs and our Local Football Associations to refrain from attending this gathering, as it poses a considerable risk of damaging our association and undermining the integrity of the sport we all value.
2. Furthermore, we have observed with increasing concern the defamatory comments circulating on social media platforms targeting Ms. Nancy Ramaru, our dedicated administrative officer.
Ms. Ramaru has been unjustly subjected to negative labelling. We wish to emphasize our unwavering support for Ms Ramaru, who has been an integral part of our football for over 27 years. Known for her integrity and diligence, she consistently enforces the rules of the game to ensure a fair environment for all participants. It is disheartening to see her character being tarnished in such a public forum.
Ms. Ramaru is an honest and loyal individual who has never misappropriated or misused the association funds.
3. All Local Football Associations are operating effectively and successfully achieving their objectives. The Musina and Collins Chabane Local Football Associations have concluded their league activities, demonstrating remarkable competitive spirit throughout the season.
Meanwhile, the Makhado and Thulamela Local Football Associations are in the final phases of their league activities, with plans to complete their matches by the end of this month and in the early days of the following month. This progress underscores the commitment and enthusiasm of both players and officials in advancing local football.
4. In addition, we are pleased to announce that SAFA Vhembe recently hosted a highly successful Champ of Champs 2025 event, which witnessed a full turnout at the Thohoyandou Stadium. The atmosphere was vibrant, and we are eager to support our champions, Rabali Pull Together, as they prepare for the crucial promotional play-offs scheduled for July 26-27, 2025.
Let us continue to uphold the values of respect and integrity within our sport and remain united against any attempts to damage our reputation.
