SA Rugby het voorstelle gemaak om die ouderdom waarop jong spelers mag kontak maak, te verhoog na die tweede helfte van die spelers se o.8-jaar. Die voorgestelde veranderinge sal van 2026 af geld indien dit deur die organisasie se uitvoerende komitee en algemene jaarvergadering goedgekeur word.
