I’m incredibly honoured to have been selected as the featured participant quoted in this year’s Durban Filmmart Access Programme Dossier.

When I began my journey as a filmmaker, one of my biggest dreams was to attend the Durban International Film Festival. I took a leap of faith and applied to the Durban Filmmart Access Programme, a prestigious platform for emerging filmmakers in South Africa.

Being accepted into the programme was already a dream come true, but winning the fiction selction and then getting a chance at standing up to pitch my project professionally, surrounded by industry leaders, and walking away with opportunities that truly changed the course of my life…That was something beyond what I ever imagined.

This moment is a reminder of how far passion and perseverance can take you. Thank you to the DFM team for believing in me and creating spaces where stories like mine can thrive.
