Are you facing challenges right now?

Jesus begins the Sermon on the Mount by calling people blessed, even in difficult circumstances. Why? Because God's blessings are not situational. They abide.

In good times, you are blessed.
In tough times, you are blessed.

So what are you saying over your life right now?

The power of life and death is in the tongue. When God speaks, things happen. When Jesus spoke, things happened.

Don't speak defeat over your situation. Ask the Lord what He is saying about it and agree with Him. Often you'll find He's already speaking victory where you only see struggle.

And remember, Jesus sent us the Comforter.

So if you're hurting today, let Him comfort you.

Blessed are you.

Father, thank You that Your blessing remains on my life regardless of my circumstances. Help me to speak what You are speaking, believe what You have promised, and receive Your comfort today. In Jesus' Name, amen.

What can I say about the teachings of Jesus?

A single sentence from Him can seem simple at first, yet contain depths we may spend a lifetime discovering. That's why He gave us the Holy Spirit, our Helper and Teacher.

The Sermon on the Mount begins with a blessing:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit."

When I think about being poor in spirit, I think of recognizing my need for more of God. A longing for Him. An awareness that I don't have everything I need within myself.

And that's exactly where God meets us.

If you're worn out, broken, discouraged, or feeling like you're not enough, remember this: God is.

The kingdom of heaven is available to those who know they need Him.

So come to Him today. The One who has more than enough is waiting for you.

Father, thank You that You are more than enough for me. Fill every place where I am lacking and draw me closer to You. Build me up and help me walk in the fullness of Your Kingdom. In Jesus' Name, amen.
