2025 in reflection - the evolution of Integrated Marketing & Communications.
The year started off busy. We kicked things off with a traditional, fully integrated marketing campaign for ISA Gold — from strategy to ex*****on. The journey began with a shoot in CT at a stunning location, supported by an exceptional cast, client, and production team. This project drew deeply on my traditional branding and advertising roots: communication strategy, creative development, & full ATL production across television, radio, print, and social media. Ah the good old days! There is something deeply fulfilling about creating a campaign from start to finish, nurturing the outcome in service of craft, creativity, and brand integrity. Managing an entire campaign end-to-end, alongside a great client and production team, felt like a dream — especially in a time where shrinking budgets & automation mean these kinds of traditional campaigns are becoming rare. A sincere thank you to my industry friends and colleagues who offered guidance and support when I reached out, and to Aziz Moti and the Tin Toy team for the trust and collaboration.
In tandem, I was independently contracted by a company in Canada, working PST hours across 20+ international clients, managing email marketing campaigns in multiple industries. The exposure to the speed in which digital tools in marketing were developing and what we now able to offer has been invaluable. But my circadian rhythm is out of sync! I can do any timezone.
Closer to home, I also began volunteering at the LIGHT and Healing Centre (LHC) in Cape Town — an aromatherapy massage center run by visually impaired women doing incredible work. I joined the board and offered my marketing services pro bono. Together, we’ve: Established a digital footprint to facilitate bookings, Built partnerships with local media, Developed a content strategy, Created a 3-year marketing plan focused on sustainability and support for the visually impaired staff.
We may have eyes — but do we all have the wisdom to see?
This year, I also took a deliberate step to up-skill aggressively, many micro courses & you tube videos & zoom calls later, I can now offer a modern Integrated marketing & communications plan for your brand - Establish a polished digital footprint
