Expired products "a thing of the past"

Today a raid was held by the Health Department in Steytlerville. In collaboration with the Police, Traffic, Fire Department and Dr Beyers Naude Municipality. The raid was to make sure that all expired products are taken off the shelves and are not being sold at half price to the community of Steytlerville. The raid was very successful as alot of products were removed and shops were closed down due to the fact that they did not met the Health requirements. Fines were distributed in order for shops to take the raids seriously. Many shops did not met the safety standards and were closed down. The residents of Steytlerville are happy about the raid because many products they bought were expired and without their knowledge they did not knew about it, because most products expired dates were removed from packages. We hope this will be an ongoing and monthly raid to ensure the safety of the residents and consumers who are buying products from these shops. More details will emerge, but no statements has yet been released by shop owners or from any Departments. We do hope for safe and edible products from shops as the Health Department must be visible to ensure that all shop do meet and edhere to the health and safety regulations. We thank all the Departments that were involved in Raid and hope there will be monthly check ups to ensure that all requirements are being met.
