Santa clearly didn’t want to get stuck in holiday traffic 😄
Low-level coastal cruising, rotor wash on the beach and a cabin full of Santas spreading cheer from the sky!

Nothing like an iconic Army-branded Bell UH-1B Gunship cruising along the shoreline, piloted by Duran de Villiers. Smiles, waves and wide eyes all round — December magic at its best.

Perched at Whale Tail Lookout Point, this coastal critic spent the afternoon judging surfers, demanding snacks, and insisting I capture its “good side.”
I delivered two out of three.

Ho ho ho… talk about a Santa flight with serious style! 🎅🚁

Duran de Villiers took festive fun to the skies, piloting his incredible Army-branded 1964 Bell UH-1B Gunship, with his friends fully committed and dressed up as Santa’s 🎄🎁
Waves from the cabin, rotor blur above, and pure Christmas spirit in the air — aviation doesn’t get much cooler than this.

Big smiles, big noise, and a whole lot of festive cheer delivered Huey-style.

This photo dump captures moments from the incredible concert presented by the Eastern Cape Youth Orchestra Foundation — and wow, the sound that filled the hall was truly out of this world.

From the passion on stage to the energy in the audience, this was a powerful reminder of what happens when talent, dedication, and opportunity come together. 👏👏
