Hulle noem hulself Die Vyftigers en dit is nie ‘n toevalligheid nie. Hierdie jaar is Afrikaans amptelik 100 jaar oud en hierdie klomp talentvolle manne vier 50 jaar om die son, vanjaar.

Al die lede van Die Vyftigers, het twee goed in gemeen. Al vier het die eerste lewenslig in 1975 aanskou en ‘n musikale reis deur die jare onderneem. En hier het ons vandag, vyftig jaar later, die Vyftigers. Neil Sandilands, Schalk Joubert, Gian Groen en Abel Kraamsaal. Vier talentvolle diep siele met een gemene deler, liriek en musiek.

Hulle skryf, speel en leef Afrikaans al vir jare en bring vir jou ’n aand van musiek met ‘n soms pittig terugblik op hul lewensreis en ‘n viering van artistieke vermaak emt ‘n stewige dosis nostalgie. Hulle weef deurgans die 100 jaar van Afrikaans, die kragtigste en mees kreatiewe taal in Afrika, in die vesel van hierdie eenmalige produksie.

South African rock band The Stremes, Wayne Pauli, Adam Shapiro & Benjamin Peacefull, have recently released their third single, “Overload,” written by vocalist and guitarist Wayne Pauli. The song delivers a heavy rock sound and explores themes of mental breakdown and addiction.
