Our story starts out like any other story out there, my wife and I got married very early in life had 4 amazing kids, build our business from nothing to something, that took us 14 years, but one major thing was always missing, although both of us grew up in Christian families that went to church as children and did the entire Christian routine, we just did not know Christ intimately, till one day one of my friends, that was also way of the road, and gave his life to Christ a few months earlier, told us about this amazing church that changed his life, and invited us to go. Now believe me if I tell you our life was a mess, we had ongoing stress at work, the children was all over the place, we were running in circles, and that was all about to change.
We went to church after convincing each other, the church was the CRC (Christian Revival Church) we got our kids into the kiddies church, and of we went to where all the adults were praising the Lord. At first it was overwhelming people clapping hands, shouting to the Lord, dancing etc. Then the pastor started to preach, and it was like he was just preaching to us, everything we were going through he talked about and how Jesus wants to take away all our hardship and troubles, he then asked if we had to die today will we go to heaven? and if we are not sure, and want to build a relationship with Christ, we have to give our hearts to Him, as it’s written: John 3:16 “ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
He asked that all who wants to start a new life with Christ must come forward, as he wants to pray with us, the whole experience was so overwhelming I started to cry, as we walked to the front of the church, I could feel the Holy Spirit filling my entire body, it was a moment I could not describe, it was truly Heavenly. That day my wife and I gave our lives to Jesus and from that day all changed, He renewed our minds and filled our hearts. We now want to go to church on Sundays, and we can’t help ourselves talking about Christ when we talk to someone, we want to build His Kingdom.
As we are from South Africa, and as all are aware that racism is like a plaque in our country, God brought upon my heart that this must be our mission our purpose, to UNITE out country bit by bit, and that we must use our God given talents to achieve this.
