Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo DR and Gabon will take part in the African play-offs to decide which CAF team will compete in the FIFA Play-Off Tournament for World Cup 26.
The first round of CAF qualifying for FIFA World Cup 26 came to a thrilling conclusion on Tuesday 14 October.
Nine African teams have now qualified directly for the World Cup, which will take place in Canada, Mexico and the United States in 2026. One final African team will have the chance to compete in the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.
To reach the FIFA Play-Off Tournament in March 2026, four African teams β Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo DR and Gabon β will compete in a continental play-off during the next international window in November 2025. Find out everything you need to know about the CAF play-offs below.
