🤍 Rescue Supporting Rescue – Please Help 🤍

Shafeena Osman established Osman Animal Shelter in 2021.

Since day one, Shafeena has been doing it all — single-handedly running the shelter, managing daily operations, fundraising, begging for food, cleaning, feeding, and caring for every animal, with only one reliable kennel hand by her side.

Times are incredibly tough.
Rescue work is hard, exhausting, emotionally draining, and stressful — especially when the biggest worry every single day is how to keep hungry bellies full. It pushes you to your very last bit of energy, yet you still carry on… because the animals depend on you.

WEATHER MAPS and WARNINGS for this FRIDAY – 12 December 2025

🌬️ RAINY and WINDY in the south-western Cape as a second, STRONGER COLD FRONT arrives on Friday.
⛈️ Ahead of it, a trough brings HEAVY SHOWERS and THUNDERSTORMS to the Northern Cape, Free State and Eastern Cape, with 30–50 mm of rain possible and a risk of localised flooding.
🔥 KwaZulu-Natal will be extremely hot before the front arrives.

⚠️IMPACT-BASED WARNINGS issued by SAWS ⚠️
🟠Orange Level 5: Severe Thunderstorms leading to flooding of roads, low-lying areas, bridges and roads, as well as damage to settlements or structures over populated area (urban or rural villages) are expected over the interior of Northern Cape, western parts of the Free State and North-West.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Severe Thunderstorms resulting in localised flooding of susceptible roads, settlements and low-lying bridges/areas are expected over the eastern and northern parts of Northern Cape, central and western parts of Free State, the western parts of the North-West as well as the central and eastern parts of the Eastern Cape.
🟡Yellow Level 2: Damaging Waves leading to difficulty in navigation at sea and localised disruption to beachfront activities, are expected between Saldanha Bay and Cape Agulhas from Friday evening, spreading to Plettenberg Bay on Saturday.
🟡Yellow Level 1: Severe Thunderstorms resulting in heavy downpours, damaging winds, excessive lightning and hail leading to localised flooding of susceptible roads are expected in the extreme south of KwaZulu Natal.

🔥FIRE DANGER WARNINGS: 🔥
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the southern Namakwa District of the Northern Cape, the Central and Little Karoo and Swellendam municipality of the Western Cape.

🥵ADVISORIES: 🥵
Extremely uncomfortable conditions are expected over the eastern parts of KwaZulu Natal.
