GreenCape Internship Programme 2025 – Sustainable Agriculture Focus
GreenCape invites South African unemployed graduates to apply for the 2025 Internship Programme.

Contract Type: Full-time (until 31 March 2026)
Probation Period: 3 months
Are you passionate about the green economy and sustainable agriculture? GreenCape is offering an exciting opportunity for motivated graduate trainees to join our project and delivery teams. This role will allow you to contribute to the growth of the sustainable agriculture sector in South Africa. If you have a postgraduate degree (master’s preferred) and are enthusiastic about research, stakeholder engagement, and report writing, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analysis to support sustainable agriculture projects.
Engage with stakeholders, including farmers, policymakers, and industry experts, to foster collaboration and gather insights.
Assist with event coordination, workshops, and meetings related to the green economy and sustainable agriculture.
Prepare reports, publications, and documents for funders, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Contribute to data collection and market research to support project activities and planning.
Maintain databases and up-to-date records of project activities and stakeholder interactions.
Qualifications:
A postgraduate degree (master’s preferred) in a relevant field such as Engineering, Science, Resource/Agricultural Economics, Finance, Environmental Studies, or similar.
Candidates nearing completion of their postgraduate degree are also encouraged to apply.
Knowledge and Experience:
No prior professional experience required, as this is a graduate trainee position designed for postgraduate-level candidates.
Academic research, report writing, stakeholder engagement, and project support experience are advantageous.
Exposure to event coordination, market research/data collection, or database management is beneficial.
Experience with report writing and preparing documents for funders is a plus.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Proactive, independent, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
Solid understanding or keen interest in sustainable agriculture practices is an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
