Africa witnessed a rare act of humility and leadership. Julius Mwalimu Nyerere, Tanzania’s founding father, voluntarily stepped down after 24 years in power, one of the first African leaders to hand over peacefully.
His principle was centered on the truth that: leadership was service, and not a throne.
