🔧 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗶𝘁: 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲 𝘃𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲

When it comes to managing your code history in Git, choosing between merge and rebase can shape how clean and readable your project timeline is.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲:

👉 git merge preserves the full history of changes, showing all the branches and when they were combined.

👉 git rebase rewrites history by placing your changes on top of another branch, making the history linear and often easier to follow.

𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀:

✅ Use merge when collaboration transparency matters.

Last week, the EPSza team swapped screens for swings at the University of Pretoria driving range.

What started as a test for a new project in the works quickly turned into a friendly office golf tournament, complete with swing analyses, a few competitive moments, and lots of laughs.

To top it off, we warmed up with a lekker winter braai and fresh pannekoek – the perfect combo for a cold day out.

It’s days like these that remind us how powerful curiosity, collaboration, and a little celebration can be in the innovation journey.
