The company was the winner of the lucrative Africagrowth Institute Africa SMME of the Year Award in 2008. CEO Communications started out ten years ago when the Chief Executive, Annelize Wepener, purchased CEO Magazine (which she conceptualised) from Malnor Publishers, to set up her own business. CEO Global is one of only a handful publishers in South Africa who have not downsized during the curre

nt financial crisis. They have, on the contrary, increased in size, due to an increase in business. CEO Global's small leadership team makes decisions and can effect change quickly. This has been a vital part of our success, as it enables us to respond adequately to market trends. Learning is an aspect we at CEO is very serious about - a factor which has lead management to identify and train younger team members with the potential to run the company in the future. Except for our flagship publication, we are also the proud owner of two annual special editions, SA's Titans of Transformation and Most Influential Women in Business and Government (MIW). Except for its magazines, CEO Global have established ourselves through a number of key events that have continued the theme of celebrating excellence, like the Most Influential Women event that is being held on an annual basis in August, the Women in Motion and the company's annual networking golf day.

The 2023 South African Car of The Year Competition (SACOTY) brought to you by The South African Guild of Mobility Journalists (SAGMJ) and Old Mutual Insure, has been a spectacular event that had everyone on the edge of their seats. With a total of 21 Finalists all competing for the top spot, the competition urged excitement.

Empowering women in the chemical sector is not only the right thing to do, but it's also essential for our economy," says the CEO of CHIETA, the statutory body that facilitates skills development in the South African chemical sector. In an effort to address the skills gap in the sector and promote gender equality, CHIETA has launched initiatives to empower at least 1,000 young women in STEM fields by 2025 and requires a minimum of 50% of certain training grants to be awarded to women.
Additionally, CHIETA has partnered with youth development organization Primestars to launch a national preventative gender-based violence intervention aimed at guiding boys to break free from the stereotypes of traditional masculinity that contribute to GBV.
