The National Press Club's Joburg chapter launch was a resounding success.

The evening featured a captivating screening of "Felix by die Koppie" followed by an insightful Q&A session with the talented Felix Dlangamandla.

His Excellency Mr. David Martinon, Ambassador of France to South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi, delivered opening remarks.

The event provided a unique opportunity for attendees to interact with Felix, exploring his creative process and inspirations. It also brought together journalists and PR professionals, fostering meaningful connections and potential collaborations.

The film showcased exceptional storytelling, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

She took the audience behind the scenes of the highly controversial visit of South African president Cyril Ramaphosa to the White House and gave tips on how to make yourself heard as a journalist in such difficult circumstances.

Ziyanda told young journalists what will set them apart in the industry, how to deal with online bullying and expectationd from politicians who expect journalists to treat them with kid gloves.

We will be sharing video clips of the insights provided by Ziyanda.

It is time to register for the 13th World Conference of Science Journalists ( ) which will be held in Africa for the first time. If you are a science journalist or science communicator or a scientist wanting to know more about communicating science, we’d love you to join us from 1st December to 5th December in Pretoria, South Africa. Our programme includes speakers from around the world and is relevant, interesting, enlightening and engaging. The conference is organised by the South African Science Journalists’ Association (SASJA) and the Science Diplomacy Capital for Africa (SDCfA), an initiative and entity of the National Department of Science, Technology, and Innovation (DSTI), on behalf of the World Federation of Science Journalists (WFSJ). The WCSJ gives science journalists and their stakeholders an opportunity to interact, share ideas and information, stimulate debate and discussion and form solutions regarding how science journalists can contribute to building resilience amongst humanity given the challenges we face.
