Pimelo Ngidi (25), expresses his phenomenon of becoming a visionary through literature. He is currently the talk of the campus. This is his first book and it is launched on the 4th of May 2019. The vibrant motivational speaker and writer Pimelo Ngidi was born at KwaZulu Natal, Durban in Inanda. Higher Education Minister Naledi Pandor has allocated R967 million to the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) to settle the historic debt owed to universities by 52 514 NSFAS funded continuing students. The allocation is for students who had been funded by NSFAS prior to 2018. The minister’s decision comes after numerous concerns about the issue of historic debt owed to universities by these students.

The 2018 Spring Graduations were history in the making for the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) when the first four PhD degrees were awarded to successful candidates. On 24 October, the Faculty of Science awarded a Doctor of Philosophy in Science to Nduku Mercy Ngungu, Chinelo Patience Obianom and Clifford Malesela Kekana.
