Chelsea cruised into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a dominating 5-0 win over Morecambe at Stamford Bridge. Tosin Adarabioyo and Joao Felix scored two goals each, while Christopher Nkunku added one to seal the victory.
Chelsea started strong, with Nkunku missing a penalty in the 16th minute. However, Tosin broke the deadlock in the 39th minute with a deflected shot. Nkunku made up for his earlier miss with a goal in the 50th minute.
The Blues sealed the win with three goals in seven minutes, starting with Tosin's stunning long-range strike in the 70th minute. Felix then scored twice, first with a counter-attack goal and then with a bending shot from the edge of the box.
Chelsea's win marked their progression to the fourth round of the FA Cup, with the team having now won 36 of their 37 ties against lower-division teams. The victory also ended Chelsea's four-match winless streak.
Morecambe, on the other hand, struggled to cope with Chelsea's attacking prowess. Despite a few promising moments, they were unable to capitalize on their chances.
The win was a welcome boost for Chelsea, who have been inconsistent in recent weeks. With the FA Cup providing a welcome distraction from their league struggles, Chelsea will be looking to build on this momentum in their upcoming matches
