Favourite colours Coral + Lilac Part 2.. My outfit yesterday..

Besides these 2 colours being at the top my favourite-colour list, this colour combo also works!!

Want to know why? 🎨

There's a little colour-wheel theory behind this. Orange and purple create a near-complementary contrast on the colour wheel.

And because I’m using a softer, lighter versions of both, the combination feels playful rather than loud.

Add denim as the grounding neutral, repeat the lilac in my accessories, and suddenly two very different colours become one harmonious outfit.

I was recently asked, “What's your favourite colour to wear - and why? "

Me: "How much time do you have?" 😁

I love colour far too much to pick just one...

But coral and lilac are definitely high on my list. 🧡💜

They just really feel like Spring & Summer to me & make me reaaaaally happy! The colour combo is also 👌🏻

Interestingly, neither necessarily fits my textbook “Soft Autumn" palette.

But here's the thing:
A colour analysis also leaves room for your personality! 😉

Sometimes you wear the colour because it makes you feel fabulous, and that matters too!

If you've ever looked back at old photos and thought, "What was I thinking?" …you're not alone.

I've made plenty of style mistakes over the years too.

Looking back, I can clearly see the habits that elevated my wardrobe—and they had very little to do with buying more clothes (which I am still a bit guilty of, but working on it 😅)

Instead, they came from understanding colour, prioritising fit, shopping with intention and learning what truly works for me.

Style isn't about perfection. It's about learning, refining and love getting dressed.

Colour Combo of the Day 💙🐆🤎

Confession... blue isn't a colour I wear very often.

But paired with warm cinnamon brown? I think I LOVE it.

✨ The psychology of colour: 💙 Blue evokes trust, calmness and confidence. It's a colour often associated with credibility and quiet strength. 🤎 Brown represents stability, warmth and authenticity, creating a grounded, sophisticated feel.
And then there's the leopard print...
I firmly believe leopard is a neutral. It effortlessly complements earthy tones, denim, black, white and even bright colours, adding just the right amount of personality without overpowering an outfit 🐆

Julle het al baie hierdie truitjie gesien & die broek is ook verlede seisoen. Maar wat sê julle vd kleurkombinasie?

Die ligte karamel versag die intensiteit vd pers. Die pers verhoed weer dat die karamel te klassiek of voorspelbaar lyk! Saam skep hulle 'n wat modern, elegant en 'n blywende indruk laat!

Stylwenk: Is jy aan die korter kant? Kies eerder 'n n**e skoen om jou bene langer te laat lyk. Ek het die pers skoene gekies om die trui te herhaal en die kleurkombinasie te beklemtoon.
