Asylum Studios has been offereing professional recording and rehearsal facilities to the greater Gauteng area since 2001. Starting as a humble home recording studio with a desk and a pc, we have expanded to what we call "Asylum Live" which is a fully live recording environment with 3 guitar amp booths, drum room, vocal room and a spacious control room - all connected for quality live tracking - th

e way it should be! We also have fantastic rehearsal space available 7 days a week. Our technicians are all qualified sound engineers and degreed muscians from TUT Department of Light Music and Pretoria University Music Department. Attention all my pals in Band Land!

Weve been working with Robert Rumney for the past two years, helping him bring some extra audio zap to his already incredible game - Poached: Hunt the Hunter.

Think GTA, meets Far Cry, meets Skyrim, set in the wilds of South Africa as you set up to blast skelms to Pofadder and back, while crafting potjikos, dop mampoer and protect endangered animals from being turned into herbal aphrodisiacs.

NOW - we are adding extra vehicle missions to accomodate for a series of in-game radio stations and WE WANT YOUR BAND!

It’s no secret that we are MASSIVE fans here at Asylum. So when we heard that ’ new book was available, we had to pounce.

No doubt one of the most prolific bass players of all time - Geddy takes you on an honest and hilarious journey through the history of one of the most beloved but oft overlooked bands.

The world is a mad place, but we feel like if more people really listened to Rush with all their heart - the world would be a better place.

Before you roll your eyes - we’re not vegans here at Asylum BUT we do love Punk Rock and the various influences it has had on society over the years.

It’s incredible to see how veganism became a point of protest for those who felt dispossessed and forgotten within the economy of the 1980’s and beyond.

An incredibly interesting and moving watch ✨
