I had the absolute pleasure of seeing From Burnout to Brilliance live in Johannesburg — and these women absolutely brought it.

Joni Peddie CSP, Carolyn Strauss, CSP, CRP, Chantelle Botha and Claire Boscq CSP, all brought different perspectives, practical wisdom, big energy and a room full of women ready to pause, reconnect and invest in themselves.

Some events are worth showing up for. This was one of them. ✨

The PAFSA South Africa Summit & South Africa’s PA of the Year™ 2026 was a pretty special one — and Social Alchemists were incredibly proud to be there as a Gold Sponsor, alongside a community doing important work for a profession that deserves a much bigger spotlight.

And then there was the talent. ❤️

Andrew Wolhuter opened the day with his , brought the energy as MC, and then took on the very important job of judging the PA of the Year finalists.

Petra Laranjo brought to the stage — a powerful reminder that behind the organisation, the calendars, the problem-solving and the constant “I've got it” is a person who deserves to reconnect with who they are, too.

A huge thank you to PAFSA for trusting us, partnering with us and creating such a brilliant platform for PAs and EAs to connect, learn, celebrate and shine.

. . . Lovely words, all of them.

But watch where they sit on the spreadsheet.

Because when budgets get tight, nice-to-haves are usually the first things to go. And sometimes, that means the very women we were so proudly celebrating a few weeks ago.

Asseblief. If it’s important enough to post about, it’s important enough to pay for properly.

Acknowledge the talent. Reward the expertise. Book the woman because she’s the right person for the room, the audience and the moment — and value her accordingly.

As we close out ON , this feels like the right note to leave you with: Don’t just celebrate women. Back them.
