Thank you SA Water Products, Annelene Govender for your kind, genuine and authentic contribution towards LifeLine Zululands Business Breakfast.
It was a morning filled with motivation, shared stories of courage and hope, as we begin to reflect on this the tumultuous year of all years.
As we mend and recover from the loss of more than 20 million in project and programme funding, we were heartbroken to witness more than half the team being let go due to the USA Executive Order earlier this year ( reduced from a team of just under 200 to 75 members). Subsequently, these changes had impacted the organisation negatively, as the majority of the funding for Lifeline Zululand was USAID and Global Fund grants .
Our current budget is a challenge as we experienced budget cuts from the Department of Social Development which has left the organisation juggling with an overall shortage of 1.5 million per annum..
Yet with a positive mind and new strategies, and expanding partnerships, We set our focus on a trajectory of recovering and positivity and new beginnings for LifeLine Zululand .
Thank you to all who have sowed into Lifeline Zululand for this year in particular, as it was the most trying year ever experienced.
We look forward to continuing support and new connections for the new year .
God Bless🙏
