The Greatest Love of All

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV

Today's Word
In our culture today, so many people are confused about what love is. We love pizza, movies and sports, but we also love our family and spouse. If we look to the Word of God, we see God’s definition of love. First Corinthians 13 tells us that “love is patient and kind. It does not envy, nor boast. It is not proud. It is not rude. It does not seek its own way, is not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not rejoice in evil, but rejoices in the truth. Love believes, hopes and endures. Love never fails.” This is how God responds to us, and this is how we should respond to the people in our lives—with patience, kindness, hope, humility and love. Scripture tells us that God is love, and His character never changes.

Today and every day, know that God loves you with an everlasting love. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He is for you and has a good plan for you. Receive His perfect love today and let Him transform you from the inside out. His love is the greatest love and will last throughout all eternity!

Prayer for Today

Stand Still in Faith

Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes! 1 Samuel 12:16 NIV

Today’s Word
Maybe you come from a family line of depression, addictions, divorce, or poverty. The enemy says that it should continue with you, but there's a blessing on your life that's going to thrust you to a new level. Forces that have stopped your family are being broken right now. You are going to take new ground in your finances, in your health, and in your relationships. Areas that looked as though they would never change are shifting. Favor is coming in new ways--opportunities, breakthroughs, the right people.

God is going to do something that surpasses anything you have ever seen. It will be unprecedented, out of the ordinary. You are not going to have to make this happen through your own efforts, your strength, your talent, and your determination. It's going to be the hand of God. Stand still and watch Him show out in your life. You are not just going to believe for promises and breakthroughs, you are about to see those promises come to pass. You will enjoy the breakthroughs. Just stand in faith.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for the great things You are about to do before my eyes. I choose to be still, to get quiet before You, to listen to You, and to watch You work. Give me the grace to accept Your timing and rest in the fact that You require me to stand in faith. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

No Weapon Shall Prosper

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17 NKJV

Today's Word
Today’s Scripture doesn’t say that we won’t have difficulties. That’s not reality. It says, “The problem may form, people may talk, you may get a negative medical report, but you can stay in peace, knowing it’s not going to prosper against you.” Because you’re God’s child, because you’re in the secret place of the Most High, God has a hedge of protection, mercy, and favor around you that the enemy cannot cross. No person, no sickness, no trouble, and no force of darkness can stop God’s plan for your life.
When you face these challenges and you are tempted to worry, tell yourself: “This problem may have formed, they may be trying to make me look bad, but I am not worried. This medical report may not look good, but I have a promise from Almighty God that it is not going to prosper. He has me in the palms of His hands. I am staying in peace. God and I are a majority.”

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that I have Your promise that nothing that forms against me is going to prosper. I declare that because I am Your child, there is a hedge of protection, mercy, and favor around me that the enemy cannot cross. I will stay in peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Joyful Prayers

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. I Thessalonians 5:16-18 NKJV

Today's Word
When you are facing unfair situations and nothing is changing, it’s easy to turn what should be joyful prayers into complaining sessions. Rather than giving thanks to God for our circumstances, we air out all our worries and tell God everything that’s wrong and how bad life is. “God, I can’t take this pressure at work. You have to heal my son before he drives me crazy. This setback took all my savings. God, do something.” Yes, God is concerned about what concerns you, but complaining doesn’t get His attention. Take a different perspective and say, “God, all these things seem to be working against me, but thank You that You’re fighting my battles. Thank You that You hold victory in store for the upright. Thank You that I have joy that no one can take from me.” That not only helps you to stay stronger, builds your faith, keeps you encouraged; that’s what allows the Most High God to go to work. When you’re always joyful, thanking God, talking about how great He is, you’re going to see His favor in amazing ways.

Prayer For Today
Father, thank You that I can be thankful in all circumstances because You are bigger than any of my circumstances. Thank You that I can walk in Your will and be filled with joy. I believe You are fighting my battles and will bring me through to victory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Light in the Darkness

Light shines in the darkness for the upright; He is gracious, compassionate, and righteous. Psalm 112:4 NASB

Today's Word
Everyone goes through night seasons of difficulty or times when things just seem dark. During these challenging times, know that you are not alone. God has a plan to drive out the darkness—He will flood you with His light! It doesn’t say, “The light will come trickling in.” No, it says that the light will come bursting in! It’s going to happen suddenly, unexpectedly; you won’t see it coming. You woke up, and it was still dark. Nothing had changed, but suddenly you get the break you need, your health turns around, you meet the right person. The light comes bursting in.
If you’ve been going through a night season, get ready for the goodness of God in a new way. Know that His light is about to come bursting in! Get ready for breakthroughs. Get ready for promotion. Get ready for restoration. You may have had that problem for a long, long time, but today could be the day that it turns around. Suddenly, things can change! God wants His glory to be seen on you. He wants you to stand out in the crowd. He wants you to be so blessed that everyone around you can see His goodness on you! So keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping and keep declaring His Word because His light is going to come bursting in!

Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your light that drives out every trace of darkness! I choose to expect Your goodness. I choose to focus on Your faithfulness. I trust that You are working behind the scenes, and I expect that You will turn things around for my good in Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Chain Has Been Broken

And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. Exodus 14:13 NKJV

Today's Word
The Israelites had been bound in slavery in Egypt for over four hundred years. All they had seen was injustice, being taken advantage of, mistreated, barely making it. God supernaturally brought them out of Egypt, and they were headed to the Promised Land when He said to them, “The enemies you see today, you will see no more.” That’s what happens when the chain breaker shows up. True freedom!

He was saying to them and to us, “Those things that have held you back for years, you are not going to see them anymore.” This is a new day of freedom, a new day of wholeness, a new day of increase. Chains are falling off; chains of debt are being broken. Chains of infirmity, cancer, diabetes, and heart trouble are being loosed. You will no longer see those chains of fear, insecurity, and low self-esteem. The addiction is not going to control you. Why? The chains have been broken!

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You have broken every chain that's trying to hold me back. Thank You that You have defeated the problem and that I am not even going to see it anymore. I will walk in freedom and experience every blessing You have for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Who is on Your Throne?

Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. Psalm 45:6 NLT

Today's Word
When David faced Goliath, he never called him a giant. He called Goliath “an uncircumcised Philistine.” David downplayed his size because he refused to put Goliath on the throne. He kept God on the throne. He said to Goliath, “You come against me with a sword and spear, but I come against you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel.”

You may be facing a giant of a problem. If you are not careful, you will let that problem consume you with worry. The whole time God is in control and already has the solution, but you have taken God off the throne and put your problem on the throne. Here is the key: if God is not on the throne, you are not giving Him permission. God works where there’s an attitude of faith. You can’t have God and the problem on the throne at the same time. There’s just room for one. Keep God on the throne.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for being on Your throne, reigning as sovereign over my health, my finances, my family, and my circumstances. Thank You that You are my Provider, my Healer, my Waymaker, my Deliverer. The throne of my life is reserved for You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

A Story of Triumph

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. 2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV

Today's Word
You may think you’re finished, you missed your destiny, you made too big of a mistake, but today’s Scripture makes it clear that God’s plan for you does not end in defeat, in mediocrity, in addictions, or in injustice. Your story ends in triumph. You are not going to understand everything that happens, but you can be confident that God sees the end from the beginning. Sometimes He has to lead you backward in order to take you forward. He has to dig down deep, so He can get you prepared for how high He is taking you. He has to prune you, so you can bloom. If you stay in faith, you are going to see how it all works out for your good. If there are things that are holding you back, things that are out of place, things that are messy, don’t get discouraged. God is saying, “You are right on schedule to triumph. Your story is not finished. I am still working on you. What I started I am going to bring to completion.”

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for the promise that You always lead me to triumph through Jesus. Thank You that You are using all of the challenges to work for my good. I am going to stay in peace, knowing that no obstacle that stands in my way can stop Your plan. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

True Humility

The reward of humility and the fear of the LORDis wealth, honor, and life. Proverbs 22:4 CEB

Today’s Word
When you walk in humility, you reverence God, you ask Him for guidance, you trust Him with your dreams, you honor Him by putting Him first in all your ways. That means to make pleasing Him the aim of your life, to always hunger and thirst after righteousness, to treat people with respect, to be a person of integrity, and to strive to do the right thing when no one is watching. When you do that, God promises you honor, wealth, and long life.

One way you reverence God is by bringing the tithe, the first ten percent of your income to the house of the Lord. When you do that, it says that "God will open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that you cannot contain." Make sure you are doing your part; make sure you are keeping God first place, and He promises a blessing on your life that causes you to prosper. His favor will cause you to increase, to rise higher, and to accomplish things beyond your own ability.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for the blessings that always follow when I walk in humility and put You first in all my ways. Show me if there is anything that is holding me back from the honor and wealth and long life You have promised. I believe that Your favor will be poured out on my life. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Times of Doubt

Then, looking into Thomas’ eyes, he said, “Put your finger here in the wounds of my hands. Here—put your hand into my wounded side and see for yourself. Thomas, don’t give in to your doubts any longer, just believe!” John 20:27 TPT

Today's Word
Thomas was one of Jesus’ disciples. He traveled with Jesus, saw His miracles, and was taught by Him. Yet when Jesus rose from the dead, Thomas doubted. Jesus didn’t hold that against him, but came to him that he might believe. In a similar way, John the Baptist baptized Jesus, saw the heavens open and heard God say, “This is My beloved Son.” Yet when John was discouraged in prison, he told his disciples, “Go ask Jesus if He really is the Messiah.” After seeing all the incredible signs, you would think John would believe. But Jesus didn’t hold that against John. He understood what John was going through and reassured him that He was the Messiah. We all have times of doubts, times when we’re discouraged and worried, wondering, “I don’t understand this. I don’t see how this promise from God can work out.” But don’t get locked up in that mindset. Be vulnerable and honest about it, just as Thomas and John were. Ask Him for help, remember what He’s done in the past, and believe what He is saying to you.

Prayer For Today
Father, thank You that I don’t have to hide my weaknesses, doubts, fears, or shortcomings. Thank You that Your power goes to work in me when I am honest. I humbly admit that I don’t have it all together, but I am glad You’re still working on me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
