Bikini Kill Records Re-issues - "Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah" - MAGENTA VINYL!

We've built up quite the stash of Bikini Kill wax (w/ limited edition versions) in the Slovenly Store, all fresh from Bikini Kill Records, the band's own label pressing re-issues of out of print and unreleased material.

Originally featuring Huggy Bear on the B-Side, the tracks have been replaced with practice sessions and live tracks from the album's era. "F**k Twin Peaks" is one of those, and it ranks quite high on the "things to call your song to attract an angry mob" list. Before you go sharpening that pitchfork, the song isn't about Twin Peaks as much as it's about their upstairs neighbor and the Twin Peaks viewing parties they didn't get invited to. Also the song rocks.

Available in the Slovenly Store:
BIKINI KILL "I Like F**king / I Hate Danger" 7" (CLEAR PINK vinyl)
BIKINI KILL "The Anti-Pleasure Dissertation" 7" (BABY BLUE vinyl)
BIKINI KILL "New Radio" (RED/ BLACK SWIRL vinyl) EP
BIKINI KILL "P***y Whipped" LP (PINK/ BLACK SPLIT COLORED VINYL)
BIKINI KILL "S/T" 12"
BIKINI KILL "Revolution Girl Style Now" LP (with download code!)

We are Necklace from Johannesburg, South Africa. Our first record, Manual Breather, will be released on the 13th of November by the good people of Slovenly Recordings. Manual Breather will be available on streaming platforms, as well as on vinyl. Our first single and music video will also be coming out very soon. Thank you to the many friends whose support and collaboration has led to this point. Thank you to Johannesburg. To live here entails a love affair with what is broken and corrupted. It is through its contradictions that we have hoped to channel our sound.

SLOVENLY > SOUTH AFRICA > BRAZIL

Slovenly's work with South African bands has only started recently, first with Soweto's TWENTY ONE CHILDREN in 2025, and now this year with NECKLACE.

There aren't many places in the world where South African bands can go to play without the need for expensive and complicated visas.

But Brazil welcomes South Africans, so off we go!

Slovenly will be in Brazil with NECKLACE in December to promote their new album, and then in May 2027 with TWENTY ONE CHILDREN.

Footage is from the "FEED THE NEEDY" benefit at Thula's (the Purple House) in Soweto, South Africa, for “Hope for the Homeless”, an orphanage based in Mofolo. Check our bio for a link to the full video!

Reverend Beat Man On The Spot - Slovenly on the Spot ep.6!

For the sixth episode of Slovenly On The Spot, we sit down with Reverend Beat-Man for a conversation about change, love and touring as well as the many lives of one of underground music’s most restless characters.

We talk about his journey from Lightning Beat Man to Reverend Beat-Man, his years with The Monsters and the strange realities of constantly being on the road, and what happens when the person you were starts becoming someone else.

A conversation about music, transformation and love.
