Do not distort the truth and immediately label people as xenophobic. The reality is that the resources of South Africa are already stretched, and many citizens are struggling daily with unemployment, poverty, and lack of opportunities. This frustration often leads people to raise concerns about the impact of immigration on jobs, public services, and economic opportunities.
At the same time, other African governments also need to take responsibility for improving conditions in their own countries so that their citizens can have opportunities at home instead of being forced to leave in search of better lives elsewhere.
As a result, some foreigners resort to criminal activities, which further frustrates citizens of the host country and increases tensions within communities. However, crime should never be generalized to all foreigners, as many are law-abiding people trying to build better lives for themselves and their families.
These concerns should be discussed honestly, fairly, and respectfully without promoting hatred, violence, or discrimination against anyone.
