Safe and Purified Water for Our Villages
This is a good job and exactly what we need in our villages: boreholes equipped with proper water purification systems, not just boreholes that supply communities with raw water.
For years and years, many villages in Moses Kotane have been drinking untreated borehole water, while in some other areas communities receive properly purified water. This inequality cannot continue.
The borehole water in some of our villages also has a heavy white buildup, commonly known as “kalaka”, which is a clear indication that the water needs proper treatment before it reaches households.
Our rural communities deserve the same standard of basic services as everyone else. Every borehole project should include a reliable purification system to ensure that communities have access to clean, safe and healthy drinking water.
