Our Story
We believe the best inspiration is found when you’re focused and at ease with the song writing & performance process, you know, in a space that takes care of you, while you, take care of your business, the music!
Kill City Blues – Rehearsal & Recording Studios have been around since 2008 and turned 11 years old in 2019. The studios consist of four rehearsal studio, kitted out with a PA system, microphones and basic drum kit. Additional instruments, hardware and amps can be hired for your convenience and also have storage space if you’re a regular and don’t want to lug your heavy equipment around.
Our mission? To further the performance and recording quality of Cape Town & SA’s finest bands and musicians on the principle of the 3 P’s: Professionalism, Pre-Production and Performance!
Our friendly staff are there to give you a helping hand, and by that we mean that people with sound knowledge are available to orchestrate your technical setup for every rehearsal session as well as serve ice cold drinks in the lounge area.
With us, you can tailor your time to suit your band, schedule and vision. We’re flexible and professional, and insist on clean, clear sound quality. Kill City Blues is more than just a rehearsal space, it’s a space where we, as musicians want to rehearse, push the limits of our abilities and prosper....and of course meet other musicians and network.

Monday – Friday (Evenings)
18:00 to 22:00 – R115p/h (R345 for 3 hour session)
The studios are no longer open after 22:00 but exceptions can be made at an increased fee of – R125 p/h

Kill City Blues Services
Kill City Blues provide:
- 4 rooms with PA system & speakers each
- Drum kit (own hardware required – cymbal stands, snare, kick drum pedal etc)
- Microphones(including mic cables) and microphone stands
- Refreshing ‘cold drinks’
You bring:
- amps
- guitars, bass, drum hardware and other instruments

We lay down full production recordings, e.p's and basic demos for bands to showcase their talent to venue owners, festival organizers and potential investors/record labels and brand sponsors.
