B**r No Get Enemy. 🍺🇳🇬
The B**r Passport Mission of Michael Sommerhalder and Jasmin Forster has taken them to Lagos, Nigeria — and to Bature Brewery, Nigeria’s first craft brewery.

From local sorghum and coffee from Taraba to b**rs inspired by Nigerian culture, Bature is putting its own stamp on Lagos’ growing craft b**r scene.

But behind the b**r is an even better story. What started with homebrewing in a bathroom eventually grew into a brewery producing around 35,000 litres a month.

And we love Bature’s philosophy: build somewhere people want to be, and the b**r will follow. With around 95% of their customers being local, they’ve created a genuine Lagos b**r community rather than simply another expat hangout.

The overwhelming feedback from festival-goers confirmed something we’ve always believed: people love discovering new places to visit, new stories to hear, and new brewers to meet.

From Cape Town to Switzerland — one brewery at a time. 🇨🇭🍺🇹🇿

Our Swiss Troopy friends Michael Sommerhalder and Jasmin Forster continue their overland journey from Cape Town to Switzerland — turning the route into a true B**r Expedition across Africa.

Their latest stop: Twiga Brewery in Arusha.

What makes this visit even more special is the connection behind it. Twiga was founded by fellow Swiss national, Raphael Flury, an entrepreneur and lawyer who fell in love with East Africa while backpacking and chose to build his life and business there. Today, he also runs a certified organic spice production company on Zanzibar.

At Twiga, Michael and Jasmin had a fantastic visit — but, true to their mission, they didn’t arrive empty-handed.

As our travelling “B**r Post”, they delivered B**r Passports and stamps, connecting Twiga to a growing network of independent b**r explorers across Africa and beyond.
