Foley is really a performance. A talent that is quite rare.
The artist needs to get into the emotional state of the character, that they are playing.
For example: The character walks harder when angry, or staggeringly when hurt. Or with a swagger or demurely.
As the actor portrays the character, the Foley artist has to provide the movements and actions that have to suit the mood and type of character.
You will be surprised at the difference Foley makes to a film or TV production.

Rabson, Karabo and Tracey are the Foley Artists creating the sound for the series.

At RG Sound, Foley Artists Tracey Greenberg and Karabo Letsoalo performed and recorded the Foley for Savage Beauty S2, currently #1 on Netflix.

Foley is a sound effects art-form, that is the re-creation and performance of sounds for movies, television shows, and animation.
These sounds are created by the Foley Artists in a recording studio during post-production, in sync with the picture, to enhance/replace the audio for final mix.

Foley artists are blessed with timing and talent, tuned into the world of sound and movement, and are able to think in creative and innovative ways of recreating the sound.
