Our messages weren’t generic. Each email and SMS was tailored, mentioning specifics about the customer’s experience with the services offered. This personal touch dramatically increased response rates.

If someone didn’t respond, we sent a gentle reminder after 48 hours, and another 48 hours if theres still no response. Persistence pays off, but always remain polite and non-intrusive.

𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀
As new reviews rolled in, we thanked contributors and shared the progress with the community and we created a review widget that showcases their real reviews on their website and social media platforms. This encouraged even more participation.

It's HARD I know, I can relate...

A salon owner once told me,
“Femi, I hate begging for reviews. It just feels off.”
I told her,
“You’re not supposed to beg. You’re supposed to automate the moment.”

Here’s a fun way to think about your business:
your core product or service is like a potato. 🥔 Yes ooo, a P-O-T-A-T-O

A potato can be baked, mashed, or turned into fries, waffle fries, or even tater tots. It’s still all the same thing if you think about it for real, but how it’s packaged is what completely changes how people see it and, let’s be honest, we’d probably all pay more for some crispy waffle fries over a plain baked potato. 🍟✨

Your business offers also work the same way. Sometimes, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel—you just need to repackage what you already have in a way that speaks to a different customer or highlights a new value of the product/services you're selling.

I’ve seen this play out in my journey. I was all about selling the features of my software until I realized people don't care about your product; they care more about what your product can do for them. One small tweak in how I presented something, and suddenly, it changed a whole lot with a whole new group of people wanting my services.

I’ve learned that Money loves speed. 💸
The faster you move, the faster opportunities come your way.

When I stopped waiting for the ‘perfect’ plan and started prototyping solutions instead, things finally started to click. I took action; I did it afraid, and I found out that taking action—even when it's not a perfect action—creates some type of momentum. And momentum itself? That’s the secret sauce for progress.

A perfect procrastination won’t pay the bills, but imperfect action just might change everything for you. 🚀

You know what I’ve realized?
We only remember about 10% of what we hear, but when we share something, that percentage jumps to 95%. Crazy, right? I’ve seen this firsthand in my own journey.

When I started actively sharing my ideas, participating in conversations, and really engaging with my community, that was when everything began to click. It wasn’t just about helping others (though that’s a huge part of it); it helped me grow too. Every time I passed on knowledge, I also understood that topic better. Every collaboration pushed me to think bigger.

So here’s my advice: stop keeping your ideas locked up. Share them with people of like minds. Teach others. Collaborate. You’ll be amazed at how much faster you’ll grow just by showing up and putting yourself out there.

That's me after back-to-back sales calls. 😵‍💫... does anyone else feel like this?

I used to think I had to do everything myself; it was hard for me to just trust anyone with my business. Maybe it's because of the environment I grew up in. I did everything all by myself—every call, every follow-up, every little detail. But let me tell you, times have changed.
