What an honour it was to stand before such an incredible room filled with women and co-host the annual I Am A Woman Of Influence RSA High Tea alongside my mentor, Pertunia Leballo-Diale
I’ve never imagined myself being the one running an event, holding the room, actively entertaining and engaging with an audience .But when my time came? I pulled up my socks, stepped into the moment and got to it! And honestly, I truly enjoyed every second of it.
There’s something so empowering about standing before a room full of women, using your voice, creating an atmosphere and watching people connect through your words. I’m incredibly proud of myself for taking on this opportunity and even more honoured that I was trusted with the mic.
It just might be my new thing! 👀😅

On a serious note, this High Tea was an incredible reminder of the importance of learning from the women we call our mothers, sisters and aunts ,the women who have set the path before us and planted the seeds for us to rise from the roots.
If we don’t learn from those who came before us, then where shall we gain knowledge? There is so much wisdom in the stories, experiences and lessons of the women who paved the way for us. Sometimes, rising means remembering whose shoulders we stand on.
