A Year in the Making – The Living Cornerstone Documentary Video Project

During the filming of A Year in the Making, Dr Tanya Laubscher and I connected easily. Being on camera was outside her comfort zone, so I made sure she felt comfortable and at ease. I promised her that she was in good hands.

She noticed my ambition, passion and strong work ethic throughout the making of this documentary. Her encouragement motivated me to continue pursuing my talent and believe that I am capable of becoming a successful filmmaker with the right support.

For me, a documentary is an investment in your story.

It can also give you a better understanding of the world of filmmaking: How does it work? What do I need to know? What happens behind the scenes?

I ask myself four questions:

How? When? Why? Who are you?

I take the time and patience to understand you, your story and the important work you do behind the scenes. I want you to feel: “This is the person I want to work with — someone who understands me and my story.”

I am glad our journeys crossed paths, as I believe we both have a story worth waiting to be told.

A new week after a productive 4 weeks of video editing. 🎬

Now the VHS conversion process is in progress, and I’ve received another inquiry for a large bulk quantity.

Blessed and grateful for the support and the continued growth of the business. It’s encouraging to see the work continuing

Now I’m ready for my gym workout and to start this new week on a positive note — focused, motivated and ready for another productive week ahead. 💪

The final scene is now complete! 🎬

Most of the filming for this project was completed last year, and this year I spent four weeks in the editing room bringing all the footage, music and narration together.

I’ve just finished the final narration, and watching last scene come together with the soundtrack I chose was such an emotional moment — a happy smile, a warm heart, and yes… a few tears. 🥹

One thing I’ve learned throughout the challenges of this project is that story ideas and narration take time to develop; they don’t just come together overnight. Sometimes it takes a few days for the the story to take shape.

Now it’s time for the final error quality check before preparing the finished project for uploads.

We’re almost at the finish line! 🎥
