Continuing our adventure through the Kruger National Park.

We stumble across this Duiker in a part of the park that has burned down earlier in the year. The area was devastated by the burn and nearly all the animals have migrated to were they could find food. It really looked devastated.

We felt so sorry for this duiker (a little antelope not higher than 50 cm) who was clearly looked a bit neglected and was searching for a few green shoots to feed on. It will only take a few weeks for nature to start recovering and we really hope he made it until then.

Our adventure on our roadtrip through South Africa continues.

While in the Kruger National Park we found yourself in the middle of about 30 elephants. They started to cross the road and this little family fought my eye.

What was interesting was to see how the cows protected the calves: always close and always watching.

I also notice how the matriarch trains the older calves by allowing them to lead. They learn the tricks of the trade in a safe environment while Mum is watching closely.

Elephants are amazing.

A highlight from our road trip in South Africa. The Kruger National Park has an abundance of animals roaming free and living wild. Seeing them all in their natural habitat is amazing.

Our day started at 4 am and by 6 am we were in the park. We saw so many elephants amongst everything else. At one stage this little fella's herd crossed the road right in front of us. There must have been about 30 cows and calves in the herd.

This little fella was following his mother across the road when it spotted our car. Without hesitation it started to charge at us. Ears flapping, trunk swinging wild and the most adorable trumpet made it clear he meant business. It came closer and closer and then, as quickly as the charge started, he looked around, saw his mum disappeared and followed her into the bush. What a beautiful moment in nature.

Who else knew they could conquer the world as long as Mum is close?

Got to get those sweet, juicy, tender leaves right there.

We are back from an amazing roadtrip holiday in South Africa. One of the many highlights were visiting the Kruger National Park. What an experiance! What a memory! To be in nature is a joy. To see the animals roaming free in their habitat is a priviledge.

This giraffe clamly blocked traffic as it was enjoying dinner. We had many sweet moments like this and I will share a few with you over the next few weeks. If ever you visit South Africa make sure you visit one of the parks. It is amazing.

Ah, summer. Long days, lovely evenings out with the kids. Kids on new adventures, learning new skills. And then, coming together to enjoy the sunset as a family. Memories made and family traditions started.

I love summer on the Isle of Man. No better place to be.

Got to love the Isle of Man. It has taught me to get out there irrespective of the weather. Sunshine, fog, cloudy or even rain is no excuse not to get out.

This particular sunday it was raining and I decided to see how the foreat looks in wet weather. Boy o boy, did I get the surprise of a life time. Never would I have thought that wet weather will create such a beautiful, moody scene.

Fleshwick bay. There are so many views of Fleshwick that is mesmerising. This one was taken from a distance. That hill holds many memories for me. I ventured up that hill so many times and sadly can't say that I have ever fully conquered it. Even coming down it is not fun. However, I am drawn back again and again by the outstanding beauty, the beach, the sea, the challenge.

Just a single tree in a fairly secluded bay. Fleshwick Bay has many stories to tell. It is nestled between the footpath coming down from Bradda head and the very steep footpath leading up to Cronk ny arrey laa. Anyone that has walked the will tell you about that little hill and getting up to it.

All said, Fleshwick is a beautiful beach and a place to escape to for peace and quite.

Port Erin (a coastal town in the Isle of Man) may just have the best sunsets in the world. Last night, after a really good day attending the Isle of Man Aviation Conference (a must if you are in the industry - a huge shout out to Martin Fiddler Aviation), I decided to end the day beholding the glory of the creation. What an amazing hour watching something so spectacular and invigorating.
