WEBSITE VISITORS DECLINING AT AN ALARMING RATE:

It is with nervous anticipation that I watch my website's visitor numbers decline following the cancellation of my translation program, Linguise. Within just 10 days, I've experienced a 21% drop in traffic. While my audience primarily consists of visitors from tier 2 countries, my goal is to attract more tier 1 country visitors. Surprisingly, I'm losing visitors from tier 1 countries as well, which suggests that even in the US, there are many tier 2 visitors - an unexpected revelation.

I'm uncertain where my site's visitor numbers will bottom out. Without knowing my RPM (Revenue Per Mille), I can't accurately assess whether having numerous tier 2 visitors is beneficial. I'm hopeful that once the situation stabilizes, I'll see a reduction in tier 2 visitors. However, I'll need to wait and observe how things unfold before drawing any conclusions.

My Publishing Schedule for the Next 2 Months

Right now, my team and I are publishing one blog post per day. It might sound intense, but the goal is to attract visitors from Tier 1 countries. This way, we can evaluate the true earnings per 1,000 visitors per month.

I’ve seen many discussions about extremely low RPM (revenue per 1,000 visitors), which has me quite concerned. If the revenue doesn’t meet expectations, I’ll be very disappointed.

At this time, I’d prefer not to add affiliate links or sell courses on the site, as I believe these options might take a long time before they are successful.

I also have two other businesses. a third one in research phase and therefore I want my blog to be relatively easy. Let's see if this is a pie in the sky!

Should You Offer Multiple Languages on Your Website?

As you may have noticed, my website's audience primarily comes from non-Tier 1 countries. My previous website developer recommended using Linguise, a translation app, to increase visitor numbers. While it did help grow our audience, the cost of R900 ZAR (about $45) per month is quite substantial, especially since my site isn’t generating any income yet.

Given the current situation, I’ve decided to pause the Linguise subscription for now. My focus is shifting to generating revenue through display ads, which requires attracting visitors from Tier 1 countries. The revenue per 1,000 visitors (RPM) from non-Tier 1 countries is too low to sustain our operations effectively.

For those who are curious, here’s a list of Tier 1 countries where I’m aiming to boost traffic:

- United States
- Canada
- United Kingdom
- Australia
- Germany
- France
- Switzerland
- Netherlands
- Sweden
- Norway

I plan to reconsider the translation options in the future, but for now, attracting traffic from these Tier 1 countries is my priority.

It seems through some divine intervention or "who knows what," my site was spared through all the Google updates. It looks like a bloodbath in the SEO world, with many bloggers leaving the industry. It also just got crazy difficult to rank on page 1. With Google favoring big brands and Reddit and Quora easily taking two positions on Google page 1, the bar has been raised.

Should we still be writing blogs, etc.? I don't think so. The only reason I'm still here is that I have a few streams of revenue, so I can afford to fight the odds. Maybe I like a challenge, or perhaps I'm more stubborn than clever. Plus, I've already invested too much time in it to back out now.

The question will be asked, how did we reach so much traffic in such a short period. Keyword research and keyword research.

I also make use of the services of two, sometimes three VA's . Together we try to post 2 blogs a week. When I get a bit impatient which happens most of the times LOL, I will post 3 times a week.

Will I continue with this pace, definitely not. I also have two other businesses that I need to manage.

If I post this much, the question will always be; what is the quality of the posts. I have 2 different streams of audiences on my site and therefore I can write less in depth blogs for one stream and more in depth blogs on the other.
Which factor determines this? The competitiveness of the keywords, where the audiences reside and the nature of the topic.

Let's chat soon.
