FPI is gearing up for major battles in the months ahead. Significantly, the tide appears to be turning in favour of pro-life and pro-family values at the UN and other global bodies. The US Government has voted against more than a dozen ideologically influenced resolutions.

The South African Friends of Israel (SAFI) confirms that a high-level delegation of South African Christian leaders has returned from Israel with a unified message: the reality on the ground in the Middle East cannot be understood through headlines or political rhetoric. It must be witnessed firsthand.

Last month’s Biblical values issue caused quite a stir. We knew it would. Whenever you take a clear stand for truth, it shakes the comfort of compromise. We stood up for what we believe in – a Biblical worldview. Some in the liberal media were quick to criticise and mock what we published – from radio to newspapers to social media posts. But God had the final word. What the enemy meant for harm, the Lord used for good. We saw a wave of new readers and subscribers, messages of encouragement, and heartfelt thank-yous from believers across South Africa who felt seen, strengthened, and stirred to live differently. Many asked for practical tools on how to apply these truths – not just to believe the Bible, but to build their lives around it. That is why I am writing this.

Iran is facing a mounting crisis, one that is driving their nation to the brink of disaster.
This disaster is not the result of Israel or the United States dropping bombs on Iran, nor the result of crippling sanctions. The catastrophe Iran is facing is an unprecedented drought. The skies are shut up, the clouds are dry, the reservoirs are empty, the land is parched, and catastrophe looms.
Here are some of the sobering facts about this deepening crisis, which constitutes the worst drought in the nation’s recorded history.

When I spoke to Mmusi Maimane over the phone, he had just stepped off a plane from Johannesburg and was driving to Polokwane. Between meetings, flights, and family life, he still carved out time to talk about what matters most to him: his faith, his family, and his heart for South Africa.

When Maria was 14 years old, her uncle sexually assaulted her. She was too afraid to tell anyone, but when a bout of malaria landed her in hospital, the doctors informed her that she was HIV positive. The news spread through her village and she had to leave school.

It happened 2025 years ago… yet it is still relevant today. It is the gift of eternal hope that God gave to all humankind through the birth of His Son, Jesus. Each Christmas we commemorate this gift, sharing the joy and promise of God’s hope with one another.

In October, the Aid to Africa initiative, an outreach of the non-profit organisation Doctors For Life International (DF), returned to Mozambique. This mission provided life-changing cataract surgeries to individuals with vision impairment, while also sharing a message of hope and faith with those in desperate circumstances. The team faced a challenging week filled with numerous hurdles, from logistical issues to the emotional stories they encountered. Nonetheless, their journey was also characterised by inspiring tales of resilience and gratitude that rekindled their passion for service. In their 2024 outreach campaign, they had already brought significant hope and healing to many individuals, leaving a lasting impact on the communities they served.

The Bible is filled with stories of ordinary people who chose to follow God and were given hope through Jesus Christ. But, outside of the Bible, billions of lives have also been changed by encountering God through His Word.
In Malaysia, many persecuted Christians have grown up in a Christian culture but have never read the Bible or been given the means to understand it. Although they identify as “Christians”, they continue to follow traditional religions and don’t know basic things about the Christian faith. One of those believers is Wesley (19), who grew up in a tiny rural village called Merit Kapit in Sarawak State, East Malaysia.

“This is a nation that does not obey the voice of the Lord their God nor receive correction. Truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.” – Jeremiah 7:28
We are living in a perilous era, where even the media cannot be trusted. Influential powers, such as politicians, have been observed to have swayed the media into reporting biased news, in favour of such influential powers. This is not only true to local news stations, but is also true on a global and international scale. Many tactics have been utilised, such as fake news, clickbait headlines, and a genuine lack of fact-checking.
In this era where our culture is veering further and further away from God’s order and His truths, it is so important to be aware of what you are consuming and filling yourself with. Proverbs 4:23 warns us to “Guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” If you are fed up with so many biased news stations, then it is time to start empowering yourself with knowledge by doing your own research. Do not take things at face-value anymore, especially not news sites. Almost everyone has an agenda or a subjective narrative.
Here at JOY! News, we are utterly sold-out for the Gospel. Our only goal is to do whatever we can to further the Lord’s Kingdom here on earth by educating and informing Christians of a Biblical worldview. We have launched this news site that covers daily Christian news from South Africa, as well as around the globe. We have news items in both English and in Afrikaans. Please make sure to subscribe to our weekly newsletter to keep updated and informed with what is going on around the world, from a Christian perspective.
“The Lord gives the word, and a great army publishes the Good News.” – Psalm 68:11

Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, and only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal bodily return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential. Salvation by the grace of God alone, on the basis of Christ’s atonement on the Cross alone, received by faith alone.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Who’s indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; of the redeemed to eternal life, and of them that are lost to eternal damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
